Wingspan: 18-23mm

Flight time: June-July, September-May, hibernates through winter.
Widely distributed in various habitats including hedgerows and gardens. Often hibernates indoors.

Food plants: Flowers and unripe seeds of Hedge Woundwort, Primrose, Columbine and Stork's-bill

A. acanthadactyla is very similar but browner colour and less speckled
