As Common Rustic (Mesapamea secalis)and Lesser Common Rustic (M. didyma) are very variable, nearly identical and require genitalia examination for certain identification they are often recorded and mapped as Common Rustic agg.

Wingspan: 27-30mm. Flight time: July-September
Found in grassland habitats, the larvae feed inside grass stems
